Since 2004, Dawn Novak from the Mississauga office has been a volunteer member of the Canadian Ski Patrol at Horseshoe Valley Resort.

The Canadian Ski Patrol System is a national, non-profit organization with over 5,500 women and men who are dedicated to promoting safe Skiing, Snowboarding and enjoyment in the winter sports we love.

You probably know their trademark, yellow and blue jackets. Ski patrollers can be found on hills and cross-country trails across Canada ensuring a safe skiing environment and providing top-quality first aid services for injured skiers.

Patrolling does not stop once the ski season is over - Dawn also volunteers by providing first aid services at various summer events such as: Triathlons, Charity Runs, Mountain Biking Events,Sport Shows, Ski Swaps and many others.

Dawn has applied, and if accepted, she will be a volunteer at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Wish her luck everyone!
